Delivery Terms of Umakov Group a.s.

The Buyer may choose the delivery location (to the address they specify) or opt for in-person pickup (e.g. at a Seller’s branch).

For Buyers who do not purchase goods from the Seller as consumers: if delivery is made via a carrier appointed by the Seller, the Seller discharges its delivery obligation by handing the goods to the first carrier for transport to the Buyer. The Seller will enable the Buyer to assert any rights under the transport contract. The Buyer will be informed of the shipment time by e-mail or SMS.

For Buyers who purchase goods from the Seller as consumers and select delivery via a carrier appointed by the Seller, the estimated delivery time is usually within 2 business days from the date the shipment confirmation is received. The delivery period begins when the goods are dispatched (handed over to the carrier), of which the Buyer is notified by SMS or e-mail.

When goods are delivered cash on delivery, the carrier collects the cash from the customer. It is possible to pay the cash-on-delivery charge by payment card to the carrier.

If payment is by pro forma invoice, the goods are dispatched only after receipt of payment into the Supplier’s account.

If the Buyer requests dispatch of an incomplete order, shipping charges apply separately to each shipment.

If the shipment confirmation is sent after 3:00 PM CET, the delivery period is counted from the next business day following confirmation.

The Buyer undertakes, in order to avoid any risk of damage on the Buyer’s side, to agree the exact timing of any services or work following delivery (e.g. arranging installers at the site where the goods are to be delivered) with the relevant parties only after the goods have been delivered.

The Seller may provide the Buyer with the contact details of the carrier it has appointed. If the Seller does so, the Buyer acknowledges that this does not entitle the carrier to shorten the delivery period specified by the Seller. Thus, even if the carrier informs the Buyer that the goods will be delivered earlier than the period stated by the Seller’s e-mail/SMS, the deadline given by the Seller remains binding.

The seller provides free shipping for items transported within Slovakia if the customer purchases standard goods worth more than €123 including VAT. The customer will see the shipping cost directly in the cart.

* Free shipping does not apply to items longer than 6 m (e.g. self-supporting gate profiles, plain steel, etc.), wood-plastic composites, polycarbonates, wire mesh, sheet glass, or fragile goods that require additional packaging.
* Finished products, garage doors, and custom (ATYP) items are priced individually.
* A fee applies for any material cutting or shearing (cat. no. “Cutting-…”).
* For shipments on non-returnable wooden pallets (cat. no. Q4/03-800×1200), the full pallet charge applies; the pallet fee is refunded only if the pallet is returned in person to the branch that charged it.
* A surcharge (cat. no. M) is charged for special packaging requests or other additional services.

The Supplier does not arrange transport of sheet glass!
The Buyer may collect sheet glass at a branch or, by agreement, arrange their own transport.

For an important order, the Buyer may request written confirmation of the order from the Seller.
The Buyer normally receives order confirmation by e-mail. If the Buyer orders goods that are not in stock (availability is shown on [www.umakov.sk](http://www.umakov.sk) for each branch), the delivery time is extended by up to 10 business days. If the ordered goods cannot be delivered in normal quantities within 10 business days, the Seller will notify the Buyer of the expected delivery date with a discount off the retail price or offer a comparable alternative, subject to the Buyer’s consent. The delivery period is deemed fulfilled on time if the goods are ready for collection at the agreed or subsequently confirmed delivery location no later than the last day of the agreed delivery period.

If the Seller is unable to dispatch in-stock goods to the Buyer within 30 calendar days of the order (handover to the first carrier), the Seller must promptly refund all amounts paid by the Buyer under the current order/contract to the Buyer’s account.

* The Buyer is obliged to properly accept the goods from the carrier, check that the packaging is intact and the number of packages is correct, and immediately report any defects to the carrier. The invoice and tax document are enclosed.
* For in-person pickup, the goods must be collected within 5 business days of the order.
